Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) on Wednesday said it agreed to buy Bridge2 Solutions, a provider of loyalty solutions for merchants and consumers, for an undisclosed amount.
The owner of the New York Stock Exchange said it will then sell Bridge2 to Bakkt, its majority-owned bitcoin-futures platform unit.
ICE said Bakkt will acquire Bridge2 using proceeds from its Series B funding round, which is expected to close later this quarter.
ICE said the acquisition won't have a material impact on its earnings and won't affect its capital-return plans.
