Shares of International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) are moving higher in Tuesday's after-hours market, after the company reported fourth-quarter results that came in above analysts' expectations.
At 6:09 p.m. EST, IBM shares had gained 4.01% in the later trading session, to $144.75. Volume topped 1 million shares.
The company's stock finished Tuesday's regular session with a 0.62% gain, closing at $139.17.
After the bell, IBM said fourth-quarter adjusted earnings per share came in at $4.71. Analysts were looking for fourth-quarter adjusted EPS of $4.69, according to FactSet.
The company also said full-year 2020 earnings per share would be "at least" $10.57 and adjusted earnings per share would be "at least" $13.35. For 2019, IBM reported full-year EPS of $10.57 and adjusted EPS of $12.81.
