HCA Healthcare Inc. Friday raised its full-year revenue and earnings guidance after patient-care levels increased amid the pandemic's delta-variant surge in the latest quarter.
The hospital company said it now expects 2021 revenue of $58.7 million to $59.3 million, and earnings of $17.20 a share to $17.80 a share.
In July, HCA forecast revenue of $57 billion to $58 billion, and earnings of $16.30 a share to $17.10 a share.
The accuracy of the revised guidance depends on how closely the course of the pandemic follows HCA's expectations, the company said.
