Among the companies with shares expected to trade actively in Friday's session are Kroger Co. (KR) and Enterprise Products Partners (EPD).
Kroger Co. posted earnings below expectations in the latest quarter and slashed its guidance for the year, blaming inflation. Shares fell 1.82% to $30.74 in premarket trading.
Energy midstream giant Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD) is no longer looking to merge with pipeline rival Williams Cos. (WMB). Williams disputed Enterprise's characterization that it refused to engage in merger negotiations and said in a statement that it has had a series of exchanges with Enterprise about a possible deal since July and that its board was reviewing Enterprise's most recent proposal. Enterprise shares fell 0.07% to $27.23 premarket. Williams shares fell 3.08% to $30.19 premarket.
Finisar Corp. (FNSR) on Thursday gave strong financial projections for the current quarter as first-quarter profit rose sevenfold. Shares rose 14.55% to $26.61 premarket.
Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc. (RH) on Thursday reported the first decline in a key sales figure since the retailer went public and sharply lower profit as the luxury home goods retailer continues to grapple with production issues. Still, second-quarter results were above expectations.
