Minegem Offer Update

The Company announces that its offer for the whole of the issued share capital
of Minegem Inc ("Minegem"), which was made on 29 September 2003, has now been
recommended by the Minegem board.
Tony Williams, Chairman of EPD, commented:
"We are very pleased that the board of Minegem has recommended acceptance of our
offer to the Minegem shareholders. We believe that the acquisition of Minegem
represents an excellent opportunity for both EPD and Minegem shareholders to
