Jonathan Pollack to Join Blackstone Real Estate as Chief Investment Officer for Debt Strategies

Blackstone (NYSE:BX) today announced that Jonathan Pollack has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in its Real Estate Group. He will be the Chief Investment Officer for Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS), reporting to Mike Nash, who continues as the Global Head of BREDS. Mr. Pollack was previously a Managing Director and Global Head of Commercial Real Estate, as well as Head of Risk for Structured Finance, at Deutsche Bank.

Today, we manage nearly $10 billion of investor capital through our publicly traded mortgage REIT (BXMT), our private mezzanine debt funds, and our CMBS investing platforms. Mr. Pollack joined Deutsche Bank in 1999 from Nomura Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University.
