AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BorgWarner makes its debut at the 67th International Motor Show (IAA) Cars in Frankfurt, Germany, from September 14 to 24, 2017. Focusing on current trends such as connected cars, autonomous driving and e-mobility as well as urban mobility concepts, BorgWarner will present its leading-edge solutions for the cars of tomorrow, covering the complete range of propulsion systems from combustion to hybrid (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs) in hall 6.0, booth B30.

Making its debut at the International Motor Show (IAA) Cars 2017, BorgWarner presents numerous leading technologies for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles, tackling the challenges of tomorrow’s propulsion solutions.

"As we look to the future of transportation, we will see a wide variety of systems, including highly efficient combustion engines, different hybrid architectures and pure electric propulsion systems," said James R. Verrier, President and Chief Executive Officer, BorgWarner. "To meet the demands of this diverse market, our broad portfolio of technologies for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles helps enable autonomous and connected driving, and supports automakers around the world in mastering the challenges of tomorrow's mobility."

Combustion engines will play an important role for some time to come. Making them more efficient, powerful and clean is a main challenge for the automotive industry. BorgWarner provides advanced solutions for modern, highly efficient combustion vehicles to deliver clean, fast-to-market technology solutions that increase efficiency and performance.

To meet evolving emissions standards, demand for hybridization is growing stronger. As a result, diverse hybrid propulsion architectures, from P1-type hybrids (where the electric motor is directly attached to the engine) to P4-type hybrids (where the combustion engine and e-motor drive different axles) are gaining importance. BorgWarner's comprehensive electrified propulsion portfolio for mild, full and plug-in HEVs provides highly efficient performance for extended battery-powered range.

In addition to advanced technologies for combustion vehicles and HEVs, BorgWarner's growing product range covers virtually all electric propulsion areas including electric motors, power transmission, power electronics and thermal management, enabling the company to support automakers worldwide on their way to a zero emissions future.
