Becton Dickinson's board has raised the medical-technology company's quarterly dividend by 4.4%, to 95 cents from 91 cents.
The new payout, equal to $3.80 a year, represents an annual yield of about 1.48% based on Wednesday's closing price of $255.92, up from 1.42%.
The Franklin Lakes, N.J., company on Thursday said the increased dividend is payable Dec. 29 to shareholders of record on Dec. 8.
