Company Announces Approved Science Based Targets and Inclusion on 100 Best Corporate Citizens List
AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) today announced the release of its 2018 Corporate Responsibility (CR) Report. In addition to summarizing the Company’s environmental, social and governance performance for calendar year 2018, the report also shows the Company’s progress against its 2020 CR goals.

This year we were pleased to again be recognized by CR Magazine as one of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens and by Glassdoor as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in the U.S.,” said Timothy J. Naughton, Chairman and CEO of AvalonBay. In 2018, AvalonBay received an “A” rating in ESG public disclosure by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), which also ranked the Company as a four-star sector leader.
