LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Products (NYSE: APD) will highlight the company's oxygen injection technologies for enhanced combustion in cement and lime manufacturing at the 2015 IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Conference in Toronto, Ontario, from April 24-27. Oxygen enrichment is a flexible, efficient, cost-effective technology that can help improve the profitability of cement and lime production.

Air Products has helped cement and lime manufacturers with all types of kilns improve their operations by implementing oxygen-enhanced combustion. With minimal capital investment, oxygen injection can increase alternative fuel usage, reduce fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, improve burning zone control and kiln stability, and attain more consistent product quality and production rates.

Conference attendees are invited to stop by booth 119 to speak with an Air Products combustion engineer about the benefits of oxygen enrichment for their specific operation. Air Products' oxygen injection technologies can be installed in various pyroprocessing zones by on-site specialists who provide technical assistance during start-up, as well as ongoing technical support after installation.

Air Products also offers a state-of-the-art Clean Energy Laboratory, which enables remote monitoring of real-time combustion tests from locations around the world. Located in Allentown, Pa., the Clean Energy Laboratory facilitates development and full-scale testing of actual combustion and gasification systems using a full spectrum of gaseous, liquid, and solid fuels from customers.
