Visteon Dockable Family Entertainment System(TM) to be Offered Through U.S. Nissan, Infiniti Dealerships

VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Aug. 30  /PRNewswire/ -- The Visteon Dockable Family Entertainment System(TM), a portable in-vehicle premium DVD system, is now available as a dealer-installed option through Nissan and Infiniti dealerships in the U.S.  The Dockable Family Entertainment System is Visteon Corporation's (NYSE:VC) most recent mobile electronics entry into the dealer service market.

Nissan and Infiniti dealership accessory groups are now offering the Dockable Family Entertainment System as a Nissan accessory for the Pathfinder and Xterra sport-utility vehicles, as well as the Titan and Frontier light- truck models.  Select Infiniti dealerships also offer the system for the brand's FX35 and FX45 sport-utility models.

The Visteon system features a sophisticated, low-profile docking platform that is installed within the vehicle's headliner and integrated with existing audio equipment.  The system's lightweight (2.5 lb.) drop-down dockable media player -- featuring a large, 10.2-inch screen -- can quickly and easily be undocked for use at home, in a plane or hotel room, outdoors, or in another vehicle.  By adding a docking station to a second car, families can transfer their portable media player to the vehicle of their choice in a matter of seconds.

The Dockable Family Entertainment System also features wireless headphones and a remote control unit, as well as auxiliary jacks for video game units, camcorders and other electronic devices.  In addition to DVDs, the system is compatible with CD-based files, including MP3 and WMA.
