Two Visteon Innovations Receive Industry Recognition DEARBORN, Mich., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Two innovations from Visteon Corporation's expansive product portfolio received industry attention when the 2004 Automotive News PACE (Premier Automotive Supplier's Contribution to Excellence) Award committee announced its finalist and honorable mention honorees. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20001201/DEF008LOGO ) A finalist in this prestigious award program is Visteon's innovative Long Life Filtration System. This patented system is the only Tier I zero- maintenance long-life filter that includes reticulated foam filter and delivers 150,000 to 200,000-mile life. This unique system solution saves manufacturers warranty costs associated with air filter service and can save consumers as much as $150 or more over the life of the vehicle. Receiving honorable mention was Visteon's TACNET, an integrated tactical network that centralizes the command and control of multiple electronic systems for emergency response teams. The system's open architecture allows for the seamless integration of cutting-edge products into TACNET's flexible platform. This system integrates the features and functions of the electronic equipment known and trusted by law enforcement officers and dramatically reduces the number of devices installed in the police car interior. The system integrates lights, sirens, radios, radar, patrol video and AM/FM radio through voice recognition or fingertip control. "We are truly honored to be recognized for our innovations in the Automotive News PACE award competition," said John Kill, vice president of product development of Visteon Corporation. "These two products are examples of the customer focused innovation we are commercializing in 24 months or less." The Automotive News PACE Award recognizes supplier innovation in process and product. The awards are designed to recognize companies in the automotive industry that have delivered game-changing innovation to meet the needs of OEM customers and consumers. This is the second time in the last three years that Visteon innovations have been among the finalists or award winners for this prestigious industry award. Visteon Corporation is a leading full-service supplier that delivers consumer-driven technology solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide and through multiple channels within the global automotive aftermarket.
