Electric-vehicle maker Rivian Automotive Inc. on Tuesday said it produced 2,553 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois in the first quarter.
The company also said it delivered 1,227 vehicles in the quarter.
Rivian said it believes it is "well positioned" to deliver on the 25,000 annual production guidance given during its fourth-quarter earnings call on March 10.
In Jan., Rivian said it produced 1,015 vehicles by the end of 2021, with 920 vehicles delivered by that date.
Rivian's models include the R1T electric truck and the R1S electric sports utility vehicle.
