Talis Clinical builds perioperative solution on Microsoft Azure

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Talis Clinical has selected Microsoft Azure as the technology foundation of its ACG-Anesthesia clinical anesthesiology solution. ACG-Anesthesia presents the provider with real-time, pertinent information enabling clinically relevant care to be administered throughout the entire perioperative care process. Specifically, ACG-Anesthesia directs advanced clinical and operational guidance to the point of care and beyond to facilitate improved patient outcomes, documentation compliance and revenue cycle enhancement.

Talis Clinical was established in 2013 to bring to market a comprehensive anesthesia system developed at the Cleveland Clinic. Its clinicians developed a solution to streamline the complex process of providing members of the surgical team with real-time information needed to support patients' health and safety, from preparing for surgery to ensuring thorough intensive care and recovery treatments. ACG-Anesthesia also helps hospitals collect and report the information required by regulatory bodies, such as CMS and AQI, so they can more easily manage documentation for insurers, payers and other quality improvement initiatives.

Microsoft Corp. experts collaborated with Talis Clinical throughout the development process, providing the technological knowledge required to evolve the solution from a custom-built, on-premises installation in all 300 operating rooms at the Cleveland Clinic to a fully commercialized clinical product in the cloud.
