Eros International PLC (EROS) shares were up 20%, to $3.05, in premarket trading.
The company, which acquires, co-produces and distributes Indian films, said Eros Now, its South Asian entertainment over-the-top video platform, is in a collaboration with Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) to build an online video platform on Microsoft Azure, targeted at consumers across the globe.
Eros Now will use Microsoft Azure for three areas of technology development: online video platform, interactive voice offerings and a personalized recommendation engine.
