Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Announces Appointment of Mitchell Gaynor as Chief Legal Officer

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MRVL), a global leader in integrated silicon solutions, today announced the appointment of Mitchell L. Gaynor as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary of the Company, effective May 23, 2016.

"As we continue to work through issues with the SEC, Mr. Gaynor adds additional depth and experience in our company as we continue to enhance our financial reporting controls throughout the company," said Richard Hill, Marvell's Chairman.

Mr. Gaynor joins Marvell from Juniper Networks, Inc. where he held a variety of senior legal roles from 2004 to 2015, most recently as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary.  Previous to Juniper, he served as General Counsel at Portal Software, Inc. from 1999-2004 and as General Counsel and other senior legal roles at Sybase, Inc. from 1993-1999.  Mr. Gaynor started his legal career at Brobeck, Phleger, and Harrison, LLP in 1984.  

Mr. Gaynor earned a J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1984.  He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history in 1981.
