NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Attorney General of Louisiana, Charles C. Foti, Jr., Esq., a partner at the law firm of Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC ("KSF"), announces that KSF has commenced an investigation into Liberty Broadband Corporation (NasdaqGS: LBRDA).

On July 29, 2015, Liberty Broadband announced that it will be holding a Special Meeting of Stockholders on September 23, 2015, during which holders will be asked to vote on whether to approve the issuance of shares of Liberty Broadband Series C common stock to various investors, the proceeds of which will be used to fund all or a portion of Liberty Broadband's purchase of $4.3 billion of stock of a new publicly traded Charter Communications, Inc. following its proposed merger with Time Warner Cable, Inc.  On August 11, 2015, Liberty Broadband filed a Proxy Statement with the SEC concerning the upcoming vote.

KSF's investigation is focusing on whether Liberty Broadband and/or its officers and directors violated state or federal securities laws in connection with the proposed issuance of shares and/or Proxy Statement.
