Iteris Awarded $19 Million Contract to Continue Training DOTs Nationwide on Safer, More Efficient and Smarter Transportation

- New Five Year Contract Significantly Expands Iteris’ Training Program with the Federal Highway Administration and the National Highway Institute -

Iteris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITI), the global leader in applied informatics for transportation and agriculture, was awarded a new $19 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for training departments of transportation technical staff on sustainable transportation planning and environment programs. This new contract expands the topics to include economic analysis and smart land use, as well as environment programs that promote safer and more efficient mobility.

Since 2001, Iteris has been an agency of record, providing training programs for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the National Highway Institute (NHI), both sub-divisions of the DOT. With this new contract, Iteris will continue to deliver these programs through its highly regarded subject matter experts and hands-on instruction, through 2021. The courses are designed for state and local departments of transportation and will focus on several of the most pressing technical matters, including freight and goods movement, multimodal and active transportation, congestion management, improved safety, higher efficiency environmental conservation, and smart growth.
