Intel Taps New Leaders in Organizational Shuffle

Intel Corp. has named several new leaders for some of its newly-formed units, as the company makes organizational changes to focus on certain business areas.

Intel will split its Data Platform Group into two new segments, Datacenter and AI and Network and Edge. It will also form two new units with one area focused on software and another on high-performance computing and graphic, the company said.

Intel has named Chief People Officer Sandra Rivera to a new role as executive vice president and general manager of Datacenter and AI. She will lead the company's efforts to develop leadership data center products for the cloud.

Raja Koduri, Intel's general manager of architecture, graphics and software, will head the company's newly-created Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics group, Intel said.

Nick McKeown, who was a part-time Intel senior fellow, will serve as the senior vice president and general manager of the Network and Edge group, which combines Intel's Network Platforms group, Internet of Things group and Connectivity group. He will begin his full-time role next month, Intel said. Mr. McKeown joined Intel in 2019 with the acquisition of Barefoot Networks, a company he co-founded.

Intel has also tapped Greg Lavender as its chief technology officer and senior vice president and general manager of its newly-formed Software and Advanced Technology group. Mr. Lavender joined the company this month from VMware Inc., where he served as the chief technology officer.

Navin Shenoy, the executive vice president and general manager of the Data Platforms Group, will leave the company on July 6. He will assist with the transition, the company said.
