A standstill agreement Intel Corp. (INTC) signed with Altera Corp. (ALTR) earlier this year expires on June 1, freeing Intel to make a takeover bid, Reuters reported Thursday on its website, citing people familiar with the matter.
Altera earlier this month rejected an unsolicited $54-a-share offer from Intel, the people told Reuters.
