Intel is subject to a 376.4 million-euro ($401.3 million) fine from the European Union for antitrust violations dating back to the early 2000s.
Between 2002 and 2006, the U.S. semiconductor company paid HP, Acer and Lenovo to halt or delay the launch of products containing chips made by its competitors, EU executive body the European Commission said.
The fine was originally part of a EUR1.06 billion punishment that included broader charges, but the EU General Court annulled the decision in 2022 because it only partially agreed with it. The new, smaller fine is a result of the narrower scope of the previously established anticompetitive practices, the EU said.
Intel wasn't immediately available for comment.
