Walmart Inc. (WMT) on Tuesday said it is teaming with Alphabet Inc.'s (GOOG) Google to let customers order groceries using voice commands.
The retail giant said shoppers will be able to add items directly to their Walmart Grocery cart using Google Assistant by saying "Hey Google, talk to Walmart."
Walmart said the voice commands work on any of the more than 1 billion devices that have access to Google Assistant, including Google Home Hub, Android phones and iPhones.
"We're kicking off the work with Google, adding others to the mix as time goes on," Walmart said in a blog post.
Walmart rival Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) lets Prime Now customers use voice commands through Alexa to order groceries from its Whole Foods Market unit.
