-- Apple Inc. (AAPL) has hired one of Google's top artificial intelligence researchers to work in its Special Projects Group, CNBC reports Thursday.
-- Ian Goodfellow, on his LinkedIn profile, said he is now a director of machine learning at Apple's Special Projects Group, the report said.
-- Google confirmed the departure, but Apple declined to comment and Mr. Goodfellow didn't return a request to comment, the report said.
