The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority said Wednesday that it is considering whether Adevinta ASA's acquisition of eBay Inc.'s classified-ads business will create a merger situation, and is inviting comments from interested parties before it makes a final decision.
The regulator said parties have until Dec. 16 to offer any comment.
EBay agreed to sell its classified-ads business to Norway's Adevinta ASA for $9.2 billion in cash and stock in July.
