Stocks in the Nordic region gained Tuesday, with the OMX Nordic 40 Index rising 0.1%.

Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson Series A was the biggest leader during the session, increasing 8.8%, and Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson Series B gained 6.1%. Embracer Group AB Series B rounded out the top three leaders on Tuesday, with shares gaining 6.1%.

Stock indexes in Asia were down, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index dropping 1.4% and China's Shanghai Composite Index falling 1.7%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 0.4%, and gold futures were down 0.3%. Bitcoin was up 3.3% to $43,434.

On the currency front, the WSJ Dollar Index increased 0.2% to 98.21.

Against the euro, the U.S. dollar was up 0.4%, the Icelandic krona was up 0.3%, the Swedish krona was flat, the Norwegian krone was down 0.2%, and the Danish krone was flat.
