--Australian investor Macquarie is interested in some Czech assets of German energy firm Innogy, German newspaper Handelsblatt reports.
--Discussions with Macquarie--which is already a shareholder in Innogy's Czech business--are "in early stages," Handelsblatt says, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
--The news could rattle plans of Innogy's majority shareholder RWE to split up the company's Czech unit and share its assets with peer E.ON, according to Handelsblatt.
