Macquarie Investment Management Adds to Insurance Distribution Efforts

Thomas Hobson joins the firm as associate director, insurance solutions

Macquarie Investment Management today announced that Thomas Hobson, CFA, has joined the firm as associate director, insurance solutions. Hobson is responsible for expanding the firm’s asset management relationships with insurers.

Hobson joins Macquarie from BlackRock Investment Management where he most recently served as relationship manager and head of business development for retail financial institutions. He reports to Brett Wright, co-head of client group, Macquarie Investment Management, Americas, and is based in Philadelphia.

Prior to his tenure at BlackRock, Hobson was a director of product strategy for Nationwide Investment Management. He also held various roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and The Vanguard Group. Hobson is a chartered financial analyst and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
