12/12/2001 00:44 | According to its website, Telspec has regional representatives in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, amongst other places. | drpjst
11/12/2001 11:45 | Following on from the Egyptian contract can we expect further good news from the Middle East & North Africa ? A report is due to be released to day by the telecommunications consulting firm Pyramid Research stating that the Middle East and North Africa is the world's only region to be suffering from bandwidth shortage. Evidently the main countries affected are Syria, Lebanon, Bahrain and Libya. Abstracted from: The New York Times | rjknight
11/12/2001 08:19 | Source "I wouldn't worry about Techinvest" I think they have to be cautious so that the "innocent" don't get shafted. I constantly have to say to people to do their own research and that the future is an unknown. I think Telspec gets neglected because it is a Technology share and they are not every institutional investors priority. Also Telspec have always put a lot into product development and it showed up in their cashflow, which gave some investors a fright because they did not understand what was going on. I used this "dip" in the share price on the 28th. September when I bought at 24p. My holding was well in profit by the end of the day and I am quite relaxed now, as when I looked the bid price had reached 50p, lets see how high it goes today. | gedy
10/12/2001 18:51 | I wouldn't worry about Techinvest - they've got plenty of situations completely wrong (& then window dress afterwards)...They seem to have repeated it again here too! - Definately not as good as they used to be, & to be honest many of the posters here are much more knowledgable on this company than the various rags out there...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! :) Regards | source
10/12/2001 18:32 | Tespec has great hopes for its televoting product....this allows Telcos to dramatically expand capacity during mass voting.....if you voted on Pop Idol or Song oftheYear....is is important that each call gets through or the telco misses out of revenue or vote is innacurate...if you look at www.telspec.co.uk you will see BT awarded TSP a £8.7m contract...with televoting poised to expand globally Telspec is in a position to close some very significant contracts...IMHO DYOR.... | multimillionaire
10/12/2001 16:20 | gedy, Think it'll break 50p this time. Not sure how much of the revenue from the two Egyptian deals will get booked as profit, but surely we are in line for a re-rating here. The only thing holding Teslpec back is the (overly) cautious note from their house broker and the slightly confusing tip from Tech Invest where they said leave well alone until the new year. All I can say is that if people took their advice they'd have a missed a nice little steady rise here. JB | jonnybray
10/12/2001 15:30 | The price is on the way up again, I cannot predict the peak this time, might even beat the peak of 50p on the bid price seen last week. Does anyone have any thoughts? | gedy
07/12/2001 13:23 | Jonnybray Yes, the line joining the lows since the end of September is almost parallel to the line joining the peaks, the price "oscillates" between the lower and upper line, although the peak had not been reached, I felt that as the FT100 had fallen, sentiment is a bit negative today. The price could recover (in fact at my last look it has started going up again) quite quickly like it did a few weeks ago going to a higher peak than this mornings peak and continuing until the upper line joining the peaks is reached. Then then could be some serious profit taking, taking the price down to the lower line. But then waht do I know? | gedy

07/12/2001 13:00 | gedy, I agree with your interpretation of the chart - seems like today is a good day to buy into weakness before another rise. Like you my expertise in TA is limited but it does look very promising, IMHO. JB | jonnybray
07/12/2001 10:32 | Sorry to shorters, your chance may be gone, I must make my messages shorter, as too much happens while I ramble on! | gedy
07/12/2001 10:29 | I see the bid price has now reached 50p, now is the time for shorters if you are brave to watch closely for an oppertunity to act. I expect some short term profit taking, but then the upwatd trend will continue. I am making these "predictions" from my interpretation of the chart. I am only just getting into TA so don't completely rely on anything I say, I will say again nobody can predict the future. | gedy
06/12/2001 14:24 | I did say that I had not researched MMD, so thanks for the information. | gedy
06/12/2001 11:52 | Yes, multi, if gedy were to visit the MMD board he would discover a new US order for MMD published today and the recent appointment of a Head of European sales. | drpjst
06/12/2001 08:52 | MM is NOT dependant on BT .............is is a International company............ | multimillionaire
06/12/2001 08:39 | Jonnybray I don't think you can be accused of ramping. I have noticed the rise in the MMD share price. My thoughts are that although MMD do seem to be getting the limelight, however I feel that Telspec which has an international customer base is not dependant on one customer like BT. I haven't researched MMD much, so I don't know if they can be described as a one product, one customer company, but they must be more so than Telspec. I'll stop now in case I get accused of ramping. | gedy
05/12/2001 23:18 | Yes, there may be a chance to buy into weakness in a few days time, but the underlying trend is up. Dow and Nas up further after the close here, may well see further gains tomorrow. I'm amazed more people aren't following this. MMD (I'm also a holder) which seems to attract loads of posts and considerable media attention just doesn't seem to be as likely a winner as this. Do wish TSP would make a bit more of their contract wins - maybe at the results they want to surprise everyone with better than expected news. Oh dear, if I carry on like this I'll be accused of ramping. As always DYOR, and you'll find out just how undervalued this is. IMHO. | jonnybray
05/12/2001 18:22 | A good day. I am happy that at last Telspec are being recognised as a company going places. I just hope that pillow who said he had shorted this stock took my advice and closed out his position, there might be a chance to short again soon, but it won't make you a fortune. | gedy
05/12/2001 14:51 | ...and the NASDAQ has just breached 2000. It's turning out to be rather a good day, don't you agree? | drpjst
05/12/2001 13:49 | drpjst, Didn't realise just how good the news was in your earlier post (59), this works out at an extra £6 million in revenue. Not bad for a company with a market cap of £13m. Chart still looking very good, IMO. JB | jonnybray
03/12/2001 10:47 | As I predicted, which isn't hard if you know this company and what state a lot of the worlds phone system is in. The Telspec pair gain product are a very cost effective and most important fast (which laying new cables in the street) way of increasing capacity to cater for more subscriber line demand. If somebody has shorted this stock my advice is close out now, but as usual DYOR. | gedy
02/12/2001 11:46 | good news . i am told to expect several up comming things with this company. Firstly in December to expect news on further contract wins . Secondly Credit will have to revise their estimates and upgrade forecasts. December should see a re-rating and get these shares up to 70's + | doctor 69
02/12/2001 09:51 | Telspec wins contracts to provide 92,500 additional telephone lines in Egypt: | drpjst
30/11/2001 10:16 | pillow I concur with nellyb, to short this stock at this level is very risky, just look at the chart, the trend is up! | gedy
29/11/2001 08:02 | Hope you have a stop loss; you are either very brave or very stupid. This share's value is too small to short; stop woffling and get investing. | nellyb |
