Contract Renewals with Frontline Limited and Seymour Distribution Ltd
Smiths News is pleased to announce that it has successfully secured two key long-term contracts, representing the first of the next publisher and distributor contract round renewals for 2025 onwards.
The new agreements reached with Frontline (the UK's largest magazine distributor) and Seymour (part of the Frontline Group and the UK's largest independent magazine distributor) secure all of Smiths News' current distribution territories in the UK from 2025 through to 2030 with Frontline and Seymour, representing revenues of c.GBP180m p.a. at current market values. Combined, the Frontline and Seymour portfolios account for over 50% of the UK magazine market and include titles such as 'Radio Times', 'Take A Break' and 'TV Choice'.
The new contracts are an endorsement of the future of the printed magazine category and confirm Smiths News' leading position as the UK's foremost route to market for publishers. The contracts provide a foundation to continue other publisher contract discussions, which are underway.
Jon Bunting, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"We are delighted to confirm this new agreement with both Frontline and Seymour. Long term partnerships with publishers and distributors are central to our business model and allow us to continue to drive efficiencies and deliver great service for publishers, retailers, and ultimately for millions of consumers across the UK."
