Senior Banker Joins First Republic Team in Boston 


SAN FRANCISCO, May 29  /PRNewswire/ -- First Republic Bank, a leading provider of private banking, private business banking and wealth management services, today announced that Douglas M. Smith has been appointed Managing Director.

Smith, who has 15 years of banking and real estate experience, will work with high net worth individuals and families, providing private banking, private business banking, investment management and trust services, and real estate lending at the Bank's office at 160 Federal Street in Boston.

Before that, he worked for First National Bank of Ipswich as President of its Boston division.  Smith has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Assumption College in Massachusetts.
