I must admit - I missed this announcement yesterday. On the surface it looks like they're making progress and fulfilling promises made in the results (about time too).

"Currently the Surety Needle is being evaluated by the South West Ambulance
Service NHS Trust and at Papworth Hospital. IMD will formally launch its Surety
Needle at the Dusseldorf Medica exhibition in November, and this will be the
first product under the 'Surety' brand. Previously this product was referred to
as 'Clip-On', and formed part of the intellectual property acquisition by IMD in July 2005. It is our intention to launch other complimentary safety intravenous injection and phlebotomy devices under this brand over the next 18 months."

I wonder what happened at Papworth Hospital!

I think that a lot may hinge on the success of the Surety safety needle and allied devices. If that goes down well, sales could be impressive. Those of us who were involved with the travails of NMT know how expensive, and risky, development of these things can be. This company so far appear to have kept the costs of development and initial batch production under control. If the launch goes well in November and sales begin to pick up future finance shouldn't be a problem.

I also like their comments about wider reputation with the NHS as things move towards national procurement. Compnaies with the right products at the right price could do very well under this new regime.

Excellent results this morning, with sales up and profit achieved. The only fly in the ointment is the large debt, which I believe they will have to clear soon through an equity placing and dilute shareholders stakes. However, if they can gow the operating profit of £900k, then they should get institutional support for a placing.

The markets should like the results, but they need to sort out their financing beyond next year, which is when the bank facility needs repayment.

It was mainly debated with us saying prove it and him saying he was going to the SFO. I didn't see any evidence to suggest he did, he's just a very peed off FAR shareholder..

soldi, it might be, but I'm not interested in FAR, so check for yourself.

Just because one company financially struggles doesn't necessarily mean the chairman's crocked and I'm not aware jotoha1 has backed up his posts with facts about actual fraud but if he can, then so be it.
