Well done! Unfortunately, I closed my s/b a couple of weeks back when it signs of stagnating :( Still, a nice profit on the shares.

Check the news announcement. Take over offer from Cardinal Heath at 280p per share. Shareholders on the reister at 12th September also keep the dividend of 2.3p / share.

Suspect they'll bob up and down around the 200p mark until evidence of recovery in earnings. As to untried business models, the concerns relate to the established distribution side. Manufacturing, underpinned by profitable Martindale, is making most of the money and it looks set to stay that way.

Don't disagree that they could get back to 250p although I think they will struggle to do it until we see more proof that business model is working.

I note your comment about debtors on one of Biofocus threads. Will look at when i get a moment.

INT has moved up quicker than I anticipated. Having missed the Spring lows (money tied up elsewhere) I did expect, or hope for, a bit more nervousness around the interims which would have given me an opportunity to add at a bargain price. Market strength over the summer has denied me that. Looking at current broker forecasts for 2004 (concensus just a tad short of 20p) one can see that the shares aren't overpriced at £2. Indeed, one might hope for 250p, so I guess you could say that concerns over gearing (65%) and sustainability of distribution margins are factored in.

You could argue that they paid a highish price for Sante. I haven't studied the sums in detail but there could have been significant tangible assets acquired too. The dividend cover still looks acceptable, though, at x3, and the manufacturing businesses both look complementary and fill a profitable niche.

INT aren't the steal that they were at under 150p but they don't look overvalued. 250p would be a nice level to sell at and could be reached, given confidence that INT will meet expected earnings and a rising market.

PS I share your interest in Biofocus.

Mitchy. Sorry you are having all this trouble.
If we were too worried about this sort of thing happening we wouldnt do it at all, which wouldnt be a benefit. We will get it sorted however.
