29/9/2005 06:47 | Nice chart. Under the terms of the agreement which governs the Balu project, Solana will spend up to US$750,000 to drill a well to test this structure. This well is expected to take approximately two weeks to drill with an additional 10 days required to conduct drill stem tests in the event that hydrocarbons are encountered. 2 weeks appraoching fast, if we dont hear anything, were in the money. | hashbrown

28/9/2005 20:35 | Hash, On the basis that this was spudded on 16th September, and drilling takes 2 weeks with a further 10 days for testing, we should know within a couple of days if this were a duster. The longer the company are silent, the greater the prospects of a positive find. Interesting that this is happening alongside the Puma well. With any luck, there will be results from both within a month Tone | tonester30ccfc
28/9/2005 18:15 | Balu Well The Balu well, located in the Middle Magdalena basin, spudded on September 16, 2005. This block is operated by Petroleos Colombianos Ltd. and Solana will receive a 42% working interest in any production derived from the Balu structure. This would be reduced to 30% in the event Ecopetrol exercises its contractual 30% back in right. Under the terms of the agreement which governs the Balu project, Solana will spend up to US$750,000 to drill a well to test this structure. This well is expected to take approximately two weeks to drill with an additional 10 days required to conduct drill stem tests in the event that hydrocarbons are encountered. The Balu prospect is based on a shallow (less than 3,000 ft.) structure of considerable size. This prospect is supported by modern reprocessed seismic data and the confirmation of thick and high quality reservoir facies as provided by a nearby previously drilled well which was located outside the limits of the Balu prospect. Risks in the Balu area derive primarily from the requirement for a fault seal to trap hydrocarbons. A strike here would lead to a quick drilling series IMO, maybe up to 10 wells. | hashbrown

27/9/2005 17:02 | Hash, Trading in Canada would suggest that we might get a little price softening tomorrow morning. Buys are currently going through at an adjusted £1.13. Assuming all goes well with EEN, I should have funds in the SB account and will be in for a bit of playtime! I'll be online shortly after 7am incidentally. Feel free to give me a call to discuss results. Apologies for O/T Tone | tonester30ccfc
