Why did the Swedish fund go walkies just before the start of the best JV in history? What happened to the circa 5 million in you've been Tingod shares? ROFLMFAO all imho!

I guess what type of license they have matters less than hitting a discovery hole.

When will they actually start drilling on this JV that's been talked about since 2020? Getting super boring now bruv just get the drill, point it down, and switch the bleeding thing on!

Mining licenses are for mining and exploration. Exploration will continue after 1st discovery to develop an understanding of what's in the ground over the entire area.Like I said the risk of not finding anything is Anglo's and the JV. Whatever Anglo know about the geology is enough for them to commit $90M and it seems that's also enough to meet MoM criteria for validation. Where's the risk for the MoM? There isn't any and they won't get another offer like this any time soon.

Fair enough m8. I was under the impression that Zambia has exploration licences and mining licenses.

The exploration licence being for exploration and the mining being for mining.

What if they grant a 25 plus 25 year mining licence so 50 years and they don't find anything to mine? Just thinking off the top of the dome here and all IMHO!

Hi rainyRain hope you're wellIf you read the old or the new policies you'll learn what you've been told is inaccurate in both cases. There's no binary requirement for an official resource estimate and the application process takes into account the budget and commitment made for ongoing exploration. The MLC are happy for license holders to risk their own money if the business case stacks up, they just don't want to give out long term licenses that may be sat dormant for years.Considering the applications have been validated means they have already passed this degree of scrutiny.

Applying for a mining licence before you've discovered anything to mine is a bit like taking your car to the car wash but just bringing yourself and not your car.....ROFLMFAO all imho and DYOR!

Granted I'm not up to date on any new regulations, Mr "the touch paper is well and truly lit"

But the old regulations stated you had to prove you have something to mine ie a resource and a full feasibility at the very least. LoL!

How can you be granted a large scale mining licence without reserves let alone a basic first stage inferred resource?

Don't you also need a full feasibility?

The following is from the company web site, Ortus:

Phase 1 - Anglo will pay $14.5M in staged cash payments to Unico Minerals Ltd (67% ARC) and invest up to $24m in exploration expenditures (total $38.5M) within three years and 180 days of the signing of the Agreement (RNS 20.04.23) to secure a 51% interest in ZCP.
Phase 2 - Anglo may elect to increase its interest in the ZCP to 60% by investing a further $20M (total $58.5M) within two years of the completion of Phase 1.
Phase 3 – Anglo may elect to increase its interest in the ZCP to 70% by investing a further $30M (total $88.5M) within two years of the completion of Phase 2.

My word FatBoy there is a lot of time, research and knowledge put into that post.
Well done to you and whoever else is in the team in the background.

I think a lot of us LTH have always believed in the potential of our Zambian licences. I know a few were slightly underwhelmed by last week’s call but when you dig a little deeper, as you have, into what was said, it actually reveals significantly more than what was first thought. Certainly, it should make those who took the recent placing pause to think about exactly what we could be sitting on in Zambia.

All the information gathered by both Anglo and Arc and now they are close to commencing an exciting drilling campaign in the Cheyeza/Muswema areas. I have always thought we have at least Tier 1!

As we wait for the selling to start in Zambia, we will be trying to discern exactly what the filling is in our Khoemacau sandwich in Botswana. Spoiler - it’s Silver and Copper!

Keep up Mark all the talk now is on the Nbgoba formation or something like that. Just pretend you know what you're on about like the rest of them on LSE, chime in occasionally with something about stratigraphy or something, maybe "down plunge" will impress them, not hard to impress the docile flocks fella.

Great post FB, a lot of detail but chimes with why I have stuck around. Having avidly listened to all of ARCM’s updates over the last 3 years, weirdly I am none the wiser on the geology than from when I first invested. 🤣

In many ways I prefer this to fluffy up and promoting every drill hole.

ARCM has huge potential the way the copper price is heading. Once we get some decent drill results in this will go much higher. Lots of decent newsflow pending and share price has bottomed with the removal of the large overhang.
