Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Friday
Thus far for Friday in Kansas, trade and demand is moderate with live sales selling
2.00 higher than last week at 147.00. Trade is slow on good demand in Nebraska with a
few early live sales from 147.00-148.00, and early dressed sales from 232.00-234.00.
However not enough sales for an adequate market test. Trade is limited on good demand
in the Western Cornbelt. Last week in the Western Cornbelt, live sales sold from
144.00-147.00 with dressed sales from 232.00-233.00. Trade was inactive on moderate
demand in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado. Last week in Colorado, live sales sold at
146.50. In the Texas Panhandle last week a very few live sales sold from 145.00-
147.00.
