Tsingtao Brewery Co. (0168.HK) confirmed Thursday that Anheuser-Busch InBev NV (ABI.BT) sold most of its stake in the Chinese brewer to Japan's Asahi Breweries Ltd. (2502.TO).
Asahi bought 19.99% of Tsingtao from ABInBev, leaving the Belgium-based company with a 7.01% stake, Tsingtao said in a statement.
ABInBev said Friday the stake sale was worth US$667 million.
