PORT ORANGE, Fla., Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Thinspace
Technology Inc. (OTCQB: THNS; "Thinspace or the "Company"), a
global provider of reliable, scalable and affordable application
delivery, virtualization, and cloud client technology to public and
private sector companies and organizations of all sizes, today
announced the timely and critical release of its 'Bash Patch' which
will remove the Shellshock vulnerability from OneGate and Pano
installations.
Shellshock (the Bash Bug), a wide spread vulnerability bug that
can affect Linux, Unix and Mac OSX systems, gained attention last
week - requiring immediate action from the Company's technology
team. The vulnerability allows a user to conduct actions through a
command-line interface. If exploited, a cyber threat actor with
access to a Linux server can run arbitrary commands with endless
possible implications. On Monday, September
29, 2014, Thinspace released a patch to update the Bash
program in the base operating system to the latest non-vulnerable
version.
Chris Bautista, Thinspace
Technology Chief Executive Officer, commented, "At Thinspace, we
take security seriously, and as common practice, we conduct active,
routine tests of our software. When this vulnerability was
identified, we responded as quickly as possible. Given the massive
reach of the vulnerability, this software patch will help to stem
an outbreak. We recommend customers always maintain the most
current versions of patches which are available on our website
along with release notes at www.thinspace.com."
The Company filed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the
three months ended June 30, 2014 on
