Working with the Department of the Treasury to manage the
custody and disposal of federally seized property in a
cost-effective manner, URS and CWS Marketing Group are responsible
for the sale of forfeited general property from the following
Agencies: the U.S. Treasury Department, IRS-
Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Secret
Service. All proceeds from the sale of general property
are deposited in the U.S. Treasury Asset Forfeiture Fund. These
funds help support continued law enforcement efforts and provide
restitution to victims of crime.
Approximately 15 General Property auctions will be conducted
this year at our major sales centers located in Pompano Beach, FL, Riverside, CA, and Dayton, NJ.
Auctions will also be conducted online and in other areas as the
need arises. General Property sold at US Treasury auctions
comes from serious offenses such as drug smuggling, money
laundering, credit card fraud, child pornography, and more.
