VANCOUVER, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SMSActive Technologies Corp. (OTC:SMSE) is pleased to announce that it has principally agreed to a partnership with a Chinese company to provide connections to all major wireless operators in China for its new T-Bar SMS IM (instant messaging) product. SMSActive and its new Chinese partner will integrate the T-Bar with VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) for release into the Chinese market in early 2006. Details of the partnership/revenue sharing are to be concluded by the end of Dec. 2005. The SMS T-Bar is a mobile instant messaging product based on SMSActive's patent pending enterprise solution labeled the "Communication Bar" and the Jabber Open Source Instant Messaging Platform. Short message service (SMS) is a globally accepted wireless service that enables the transmission of alphanumeric messages between mobile subscribers and external systems such as electronic mail, paging, and voice-mail systems. The primary benefits of SMS for subscribers are convenience, flexibility, and seamless integration of messaging services and data access. The most notable benefit is the ability to use the handset as an extension of the computer. SMS also eliminates the need for separate devices for messaging because services can be integrated into a single wireless device.
