Pitney Bowes Awarded Field Service Leadership Honors 2005 Service
Leaders of the Year Recognized for 'Going Above and Beyond'
STAMFORD, Conn., June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:
PBI) announced today that Timothy Donnelly, director, Workflow Solutions,
Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies and Patricia Rash, director,
Customer Service Operations, Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies, were
recently honored at the Field Service Conference in Phoenix as the recipients
of the 2005 Service Leader of the Year award. Organized by Worldwide Business
Research LLC, the Service Leader of the Year award recognizes service and
support leaders and their respective companies that have made significant
contributions to the advancement of the service industry.
The Field Service Award recipients were selected by a panel of judges
consisting of executives from Abbott Laboratories, GE Aircraft Engines,
Honeywell and Northrop Grumman, amongst others. The Service Leader of the Year
award honors individuals who have taken their organization to new heights in
its service offering -- by going above and beyond -- from innovative
approaches and "charting" new directions and approaches, to leading areas of
business transformation and impact on the respective company and overall
industry.
"These Pitney Bowes executives support the customer experience and overall
satisfaction through best-in-class service initiatives, programs and
processes," said Jarrett Spagnoli, executive director, World Business Research
LLC. "We were impressed with their individual and combined focus and ability
to support their commitment to a full solution offering, embodying both world-
class products and service."
Also noteworthy to the award selection committee was the fact that Pitney
Bowes' client Ron Goglia, assistant vice president, Output Distribution
Services, CIGNA, nominated Donnelly and Rash for the award. "Pitney Bowes'
team demonstrated their ability to optimize throughput and increase the
efficiencies and effectiveness of overall customer communication operations,"
explained Goglia. "Instead of simply providing outstanding products, they work
with customers to evaluate their operations, identify management strategies and
practices to integrate technologies."
Donnelly and Rash have each spent 25 years in corporate service organizations,
providing support to clients and customers in a variety of worldwide markets.
