P-Com's AirPro Gold.Net Radios Deployed in Brazil
Radios Deliver Broadband Internet Access to Residential and Commercial Towers
CAMPBELL, Calif., March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- P-Com, Inc. (BULLETIN
BOARD: PCOM) , a worldwide provider of wireless telecom products and services,
today announced its AirPro Gold.Net radios are being deployed in major cities
across Brazil to bring broadband wireless Internet access to residents of
multi-story apartment buildings. Residents include both commercial and
residential tenants.
P-Com's next generation spread spectrum product is delivering broadband services
to thousands of consumers as part of an agreement with an innovative Brazilian
real estate developer, which last year created a new Internet Service Provider
(ISP) using P-Com radios to fulfill the growing demand for high-speed Internet
access.
P-Com's AirPro Gold.Net radios are being installed atop clusters of multi-tenant
units and complexes in gated and open communities. The towers range from10
stories to 30 stories and are located in Sao Paolo, Rio de Janeiro and other
major population centers.
"Using P-Com's AirPro Gold.Net radios, Brazilian consumers now have reliable,
high-speed access to the Internet that simply didn't exist a short time ago,"
said Geoff Giese, Vice President and head of License Exempt products for P-Com.
"Prior to the availability of broadband access provided by this new ISP and
supported by P-Com's technology, tenants had to settle for slower, dial-up
service that is far less reliable -- if it is available at all."
AirPro Gold.Net was chosen because of its robust wireless routing capabilities,
which includes adjustable output power and P-Com's Quality of Service that
provides for minimum guaranteed throughputto end users. The ease of
installation, high product quality, superior network management and its network
scalability were also key features in the selection of AirPro Gold.Net.
AirPro Gold.Net is a high-speed, carrier-class radio that delivers VoiceOver
IP, data and Internet services. Bundled with Site Manager Pro, AirPro Gold.Net
supports modulation, multiple wireless clusters and SNMP. AirPro Gold.Net
responds to market demand by providing an auto-sent Ethernet Port capable of 10
Base-T or 100 Base-T.
"AirPro Gold.Net is a terrific solution for delivering broadband Internet access
to urban areas reliably and cost effectively," Giese said. "We're pleased to be
working with an innovative partner who understands that P-Com's products are not
only technically superior, but are also backed by our renowned support services
team."

periods to be materially different from any future performance that may be
suggested in this release. Such factors may include, but are not limited to:
the ability to achieve positive cash flow given the Company's existing and
