ATLANTA, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc. (NYSE:HVTNYSE:andNYSE:HVT.A) today reported all-time record sales for any month for the period ended December 31, 2005. Havertys' December sales increased 1.0% to $79.1 million compared with $78.3 million in December 2004. On a comparable-store basis, December sales decreased 0.7%. Comparable-store sales do not include locations opened, closed or otherwise non-comparable during the last 12 months. Sales for the twelve months of 2005 totaled $827.7 million versus $784.2 million for 2004, representing an increase of 5.5%. On a comparable-store basis, sales increased 1.8% for the twelve months.
