Haverty Furniture Reports Sales for April ATLANTA, May 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HAVERTY FURNITURE COMPANIES, INC. (NYSE:HVTNYSE:andNYSE:HVT.A) today reported sales for the month ended April 30, 2005. Havertys' April sales increased 13.5% to $65.1 million, compared with $57.3 million in April 2004. On a comparable-store basis, April sales increased 7.7%. Comparable-store sales do not include stores or locations opened, closed or otherwise non-comparable during the last 12 months. Sales for the first four months of 2005 increased 10.1% to $272.7 million compared with $247.6 million in 2004. On a comparable-store basis, sales increased 5.3% for the first four months.
