Federal Screw Works Announces a Plant Closing
ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich., March 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federal Screw Works
(Pink Sheets: FSCR) announced today that it intends to close its Chelsea,
Michigan manufacturing facility by April 30, 2005. Approximately 37 active
employees are expected to be affected by the closing.
The decision to close the Chelsea facility, constructed in 1917, came after
careful consideration. The Company believes that this decision is necessary
and in the best interests of the Company. The Company anticipates that the
closing of the Chelsea facility will result in an estimated after-tax
restructuring charge of $2.8 million in the current fiscal year.
