Emtec Receives Highest Level of Accreditation From Sun Microsystems
MT. LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Emtec, Inc. (BULLETIN
BOARD: ETEC) announced today that it has received Sun Microsystems' highest
level of accreditation -- iForce Strategic Technology Integrator.
Emtec, a leading systems integrator providing managed services, security
consulting, data management and enterprise infrastructure solutions, has been a
reseller of Sun solutions for more than 15 years. It is one of only 28 companies
in the United States to have achieved the iForce Strategic Technology Integrator
status.
The iForce initiative is designed to allow channel partners, such as Emtec, to
team with Sun to deliver proven solutions that help customers -from start-ups to
large enterprises -- harness the power of the Internet and drive business
advantage. These end-to-end solutions focus on three core strategies:
eliminating cost and complexity in the data center, accelerating the use of Web
services and providing secure remote access. These customer- driven solutions
help enterprises leverage the network at every point in the business
environment, including decision support systems, supply chain management,
product design and development, e-mail and communications, as well as many other
functions.

The iForce Strategic Technology Integrator certification is awarded to
representatives who have at least 10 sales representatives and 10 systems
engineers certified at the enterprise level for Sun. Five of those 10 systems
engineers must also have a Solaris core certification. An iForce Strategic
Technology Integrator must also meet annual hardware revenue and/or growth rate
goals. Emtec has met all of those requirements, including additional
requirements to also attain the Storage Elite accreditation. Emtec is one of
approximately 55 Storage Elite partners in the United States.
