                                  BOARD CHANGE



The board of CeNeS Pharmaceuticals plc ("CeNeS" or "the Company") yesterday
accepted the resignation of Timothy Wright, non-executive director, with
immediate effect. Tim's resignation follows the agreement between the Company
and Elan Corporation Plc to terminate the CeNeS/Elan joint venture, which was
announced in June 2003.


Alan Goodman, Chairman commented:


"I would like to thank Tim for his valuable contribution to CeNeS over the last
two years."
