Appointment of Alternate Director

The Company wishes to announce that Colin Bird has been appointed as an
alternate director for Malcolm Burne, who was appointed to the board following
the Company's AGM on 19 September. Mr Bird's appointment was made at a board
meeting held by the Company on 14 October 2003.

In accordance with paragraph F of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules, Mr Bird's (aged
59) directorships over the past five years are listed below:-
