ACDelco Continues to Expand Its Product Lines to Meet 'All Makes/All Models'
Proposition
GRAND BLANC, Mich., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- ACDelco is expanding its product
lines to a broader portfolio with the goal of becoming a complete "All Makes/All
Models" supplier for its group of distributors.
By expanding product coverage, ACDelco continues to work toward its goal of
becoming the first and best choice for automotive aftermarket parts, while
providing distributors with all the products they need to help make their
businesses successful.
"Feedback from our technicians told us that when we referred to 'All Makes/All
Models,' they interpreted it as 'all makes and all models for GM,'" said Scott
Mackie, general manager, ACDelco. "But we have made significant progress in
diversifying our product portfolio and communicating our marketing strategy to
our customers and consumers. Our advertising efforts are much more focused to
reflect the breadth of our products.
"With the growing import and domestic vehicle market, ACDelco realized it needed
to change the way it conducted business," Mackie said. "We learned that we
couldn't just focus on select lines if we wanted to reach our goal of being a
leading 'All Makes/All Models' supplier," he explained.
ACDelco presently offers full product lines for suspension, batteries, brakes,
air conditioning, wire and cable, water pumps, reman starters and alternators,
belts and hoses, steering, clutches, spark plugs, fuel pumps and chassis.
"Although ACDelco has parts for Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, GM and
virtually every other vehicle on the road," Nancy McLean, director of marketing,
ACDelco said, "communicating the 'All Makes/All Models' message is an ongoing
job.
"We work on it day by day, part number by part number," McLean said. "When we
see an increase in sales in our non-GM applications, it indicates that both
consumers and the automotive aftermarket industry are accepting of the 'All
Makes/All Models' business plan.
"But we get the most mileage when we deliver on what we promise," she added.
"It's our consistent level of quality across all of our product lines that
generates the loyalty to the ACDelco brand. Each ACDelco part is designed and
engineered to work in coordination with the entire vehicle system and the
vehicle's existing parts, regardless of its make or model. This means that you
don't have to buy parts from multiple suppliers -- ACDelco is like one-stop
shopping."
ACDelco is a global leader in automotive replacement parts and services offering
products for virtually all vehicles. ACDelco is headquartered in Grand Blanc,
Mich., and markets automotive replacement parts worldwide under its brand name.
