13/5/2015 14:51 | Zinc will go higher this year but like gfm I'm sure they'll be very happy with zinc in the $2300 to $2400 range. Mid is another 9% or so. Not forgetting zox managed 3,786 tonnes in January, manage that for the rest of the year and production will be circa 45,000 tonnes from 28,564k tonnes last year but with zinc at a much higher price. | celeritas
13/5/2015 14:02 | Hi Celeritas, Thanks for the extract. $1M of EBITDA, say $12M p.a, say £ 8M...on a current market cap of £ 21 M+/- ? Agree with loganair, steady as she goes - and Mr Market will eventually catch up. ATB | extrader
13/5/2015 13:44 | I just hope now the directors have managed to stabilize Zincox they do not over stretch themselves by expanding too quickly - one baby step at a time and steady as she goes. | loganair
13/5/2015 13:44 | Very nice when zinc is hovering between 2300 and 2400 Since the major modification to the heat exchangers in August, all but two of the months at KRP have had a positive EBITDA and, as we foresee no closures or supply reductions for the next three months, we expect the next quarter to be significantly more positive than the first quarter of this year. KRP is generating positive monthly operating cash flow which will increase as a result of ongoing improvements to throughput and recovery. Since most of the operation's costs are fixed, the final ramp up to full daily throughput has a disproportionately positive impact on profitability, so that, at today's zinc price (US$2,150 per tonne) and assuming target zinc grade of EAFD, in a full operating month the plant should generate well over US$1 million of EBITDA per month. | celeritas
13/5/2015 13:32 | Looking good here, I'm well up on the zinc story anyway and have been for at least 10 years. Bodes well for companies like zox. Looks like a few stale bulls are still here so stuck some limits in. | celeritas
13/5/2015 13:24 | Gap to 15.5p area | matt123d
13/5/2015 13:08 | The main process is well covered and the "new stuff" is very simple process which they say is a very inexpensive and well proven, widely used process. | cestnous
13/5/2015 12:38 | Hi rivaldo, Thanks for the link and summary. Any idea how robust ZOX's patents are - for both its existing technology and the planned (unproven) stuff ? TIA ATB | extrader
13/5/2015 11:46 | New interview with the CEO: - $600k profit in Q1'15, and expected to "improve significantly" in Q2 - increase production to full capacity in next 6 months - ZOX can upgrade their zinc concentrate to industrial chemical quality, which sells at twice the price - expanding to Thailand and thereafter global rollout to become the "largest zinc recycling company in the world" | rivaldo
11/5/2015 22:54 | Indeed - looks like some keen stakebuilding, with late reported buys of 250,000 at 12.25p followed by 260,000 at 12.5 and another 300,000 in other transactions. | rivaldo
11/5/2015 18:03 | Volume shows up late to support the rise. | matt123d
11/5/2015 14:54 | Looking good here. | matt123d
11/5/2015 14:44 | Nice rise there; up 5.3% on the day. | cestnous
07/5/2015 09:56 | rivaldo - Usually we post the price of Zinc in $ per ton, I think it is useful to state which weight is being used as it seems to me the prices you're quoting are for $ per pound, then for comparison it is useful next to this price to quote the approximate equivalent in $ per ton. | loganair
06/5/2015 12:22 | Thanks for the above posts - but can we use this other thread since it has charts and news in the header post please? | rivaldo
05/5/2015 15:51 | Regarding zinc prices, "At the present rate, LME stocks will be exhausted about year end," said Beer & Co analyst Pieter Bruinstroop, who forecasts zinc peaking at around $4,000 a tonne in 2017 against Tuesday's price of $2,330. Read more at: | seagreen
05/5/2015 14:17 | LONDON: Zinc hit its highest price in 8 months on a combination of concern about mine shortages and optimism about the global economy. Three-month LME zinc gained 1.6 percent to a intraday high of $2,380.50 a tonne, the strongest since September last year. It failed to trade in official open outcry trading and was bid at $2,370. "The fundamentals in zinc are good," said Nic Brown, head of commodity research at Natixis in London. "By the time we get to the end of year, and the effect of the closures of Lisheen and Century are starting to feed through, the fundamentals will look even stronger." | loganair
05/5/2015 14:16 | Interesting view on the future zinc price.... Conclusion: "At the time of zinc’s surge we pronounced our view that when zinc moves, it will move fast. Now that it has shucked off the fallacious story of oil as some sort of economic canary in a coalmine, it has shot from the low 90 cts area again to above the crucial $1 barrier in just a couple of weeks. We would reiterate that we would not be surprised to see it top $1.30 in 2015. This is quite a rollercoaster ride. Buckle your seatbelts it’s going to be a bumpy ride." | rivaldo
30/4/2015 08:43 | 132,000 shares bought quickly this morning at rapidly rising prices up to 12.62p. Encouraging stuff. | rivaldo
29/4/2015 13:32 | Having watched this fall from 80p over something under 2 years, I presume that there will be a lot of stale bulls here wanting to get out, so there is bound to be some volatility as they sell in to rises. That said, I do believe that everything is now set fair for the foreseeable future, so I myself will be riding it out. Just imo. | cestnous
29/4/2015 11:31 | Certainly one of my better timed investment calls, even if I did buy on April fools day. No intention of selling until some of the undoubted potential is delivered either, as unless there are some significant management failings on delivering the plan, it's hard to see how these can't trade significantly higher in due course. | the drewster
28/4/2015 11:33 | Not worried myself Riv, given todays bumper rise :¬) | cestnous
28/4/2015 08:59 | Indeed cestnous.... Not too worried about Thailand - assuming SK continues to provide good news, and the zinc price performs as most commentators expect, then there should be a number of options for ZOX to pursue. | rivaldo
28/4/2015 08:05 | Nice start to the day :¬) | cestnous
27/4/2015 16:32 | Well I'm in for another 100k or so but they were really hard to obtain had to do it in 3 chunks - all bodes well I hope, | bouncingbean |
