seems its onshore (not offshore) drilling for oil (from GSLM site)
So (if i was zzl) I'd become a project partner...

Great South Land Minerals chief executive Malcolm Bendall expects to fly back to Hobart this week with confirmation of funding for his oil drilling program in Tasmania's Central Highlands.

Speaking to the Sunday Tasmanian from London where he says is finalising the $10 million loan package, Mr Bendall said the last weeks had been frustrating, but he was confident the drilling program would still proceed.

Mr Bendall returned to Tasmania from Monaco in December to oversee the drilling of an exploratory hole at Bellevue near Bronte Park.

The company orginally said the $10 million loan, from an unnamed lender, would be available by March 2.

Mr Bendall said GSLM would be paying about $440,000 owing to drilling contractor Hunt Energy, which had an oil rig at the Bellevue Site.
